Axis Residents Helping to Clean Up the Neighborhood

A bunch of Axis residents have gotten together to help clean a vacant lot next to the newly restored 7up sign between Notre Dame Ave and North Almaden. They cleared out most of the weeds and added some nice landscaping on the perimeter of the lot. It's really nice to see Downtown residents taking pride in where they live!

Axis Howl-O-Ween Event

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to live with a pet in Downtown San Jose, this may be the event for you. You will be able to tour the Axis residential high-rise with man's best friend, learn which services such as dog walking and training are available locally, and then explore Downtown with your companion. There's even a Doggie costume contest. To participate, just head over to 38 N. Almaden Boulevard on Saturday, October 27th between 11am and 1pm. More details below.

Downtown Condo Crawl Open House + Free Drink at SPSM!

This Saturday from 12-4pm you can check out all of the high-rise condo buildings in Downtown San Jose with free pedicab transportation between each one! If you have ever wondered what living in a high-rise would be like, this would be a good opportunity to get more information and see all of your San Jose options. As an added bonus, if you visit all 3 towers you will get a drink ticket for use at the San Pedro Square Market (complete digression here, but it's really coming along nicely and well worth a visit).

"Celestial Summer" Debuts at Axis

Today Axis is hosting an opening celebration for Celestial Summer, the latest exhibition at the Axis Art Gallery featuring photographs taken from the Hubble Space Telescope. You can also enjoy refreshments, tours, and see art works from over 50 local artists in the Axis lobby. If you feel like taking in some views, you can also have a look at the model homes on the 12th floor and the Penthouses.

It all goes down between 5:30pm - 7:30pm tonight at 38 N. Almaden #101.

AXIS Bans Smoking

AXIS residents voted to officially become a NON-SMOKING building. This goes so far as to include even outdoor balconies and patios. I think this is a good move and will create a healthier and more family-friendly environment for residents and guests. Hopefully The 88 and City Heights will follow suit.

Axis Art Gallery Opens Its Doors

We have yet another art gallery opening in Downtown San Jose, this time at the ground floor of Axis in one of the live/work units (#101). Axis Art Gallery features the work of photographer Deborah Mills Thackrey, painters Archil Pinchkhadze and Chris Elliman, as well as work by Tom Thackrey, Michael Buscemi, Julia Jacobson, Chris Sican, Phil Bongiorno, and Stefani Esta.
