It’s a place where customers can experience an extraordinary blend of coffee creations as well as eclectic dining in an artfully designed environment. The menu ranges from traditional Italian coffee drinks to fresh baked goods, panini sandwiches, pizza, pasta, chocolate drinks and gelato. Wine and beer are also on the menu. Lavazza’s history goes back 110 years when founder Luigi Lavazza opened a small grocery store in Turin, Italy. He is credited with inventing the concept of the blend, the art of mixing coffee of different origins to obtain a flavorful brew.
Lavazza is located on the first floor of 300 Santana Row next to LB Steak.
Opening early November: The Veggie Grill, Offering Tasty, Meatless Meals
Dining gets healthier and lighter with the menu items at The Veggie Grill. Classic American favorites like soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches made with wholesome, plant-based ingredients are among the offerings.
Named one of L.A.’s “can’t miss” cheap-eats by Los Angeles magazine, The Veggie Grill offers vegetarian fare and gluten-free and soy-free choices, too.
The Veggie Grill’s first San Jose location is at 3055 Olin Ave., across from Park Valencia.

Hopefully, they can designate Satana Row as the new real downtown San Jose since the real downtown is a lost cause. They can develop the area around SR and make it a complete downtown. That's the best hope for the city and easiest way to have a vibrant downtown.
ReplyDelete@ San Jose home grown - San Jose is big enough to support multiple "downtowns." Why re-brand Santana Row as downtown. It's already doing fine as is. In fact, we need more for of these in other neighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteIt needs one main downtown(Santana Row) with many different neighborhoods throughout the city with unique shops and restaurants/bookstores.
DeleteThere is a good chance that one day Downtown will connect with Santana Row via development throughout Midtown (two big projects happening now) and with BRT.
DeleteIt is unlikely that Santana Row will ever replace Downtown. While there is a huge amount of activity, development is happening slowly and they are running out of room. In Downtown, massive projects are going to break ground in 2013 and many retail spaces are going to finally get filled up in the Downtown core. If things go well, 2014 should be an even better year.
Don't get me wrong, I like Santana Row, but it won't replace Downtown. It's a secondary urban area similar to Willow Glen or Japantown.
