The Asian American Donor Program (AADP) is a non-profit that helps blood cancer patients find marrow donors. The event below will raise money for adding additional donors (it costs $100 to register a single donor).
There will be free treats, appetizers, and a raffle. The event starts at 6pm and tickets cost $20 per person. For more information check out the Facebook event page over here.
Very dull news lately except for the new highrise developments and opening of Muji. What about more developments and the opening of Bargain Market grocery outlet in Dt. San Jose on Thurs.? Who cares about these Holloween nonsense?!
ReplyDeleteYou're more than welcome to write up posts yourself and submit them. This is not a fulltime job, but very much a side project on top of an 80+ hour a week day-job. There are no ads anywhere on the page... this isn't a commercial site. No offense, but I'll post what I want and if you don't like that, you can either contribute yourself or read something else.
DeleteAs a side note, my father died of cancer and my mother survived breast cancer... so if someone emails me asking if I can plug an event to help cancer patients as is the case in this post, I'm going to do it.
DeleteThank you Joshua for the post. We really appreciate your help.
ReplyDeleteHi Feather Ruffler, AADP might be new to you, but nowadays it's hard to find a person who doesn't know anyone who is affected by cancer. We are a non-profit organization that helps blood cancer patients to find their life saving marrow match. This Halloween fundraiser is one of our events to raise awareness. We helped many blood cancer patients in San Jose such as Ryan who received a transplant recently. http://www.facebook.com/HelpSaveRyan You are welcome to join our event to learn more about bone marrow donations.
